Touch switches provide excellent advantages over traditional mechanical and membrane switches in terms of resistance to oil and dirt ingression and reliability. Further advantages include simplified overall product construction as they can provide the key to a one piece fully flush product outer covering. This latter feature allows for more aesthetically pleasing designs and opens up possibilities for new application areas.
