Revision # 1.60   Modifications made on May 3, 2004

  • The Product Title was modified from 8-Bit A/D Type MCU to A/D Type 8-Bit MCU.
  • At the Block Diagram section, the TMR and TMRC portion of the diagram were modified.
  • At the D.C. Characteristics table, the Min. value for the RPH 3V was changed from 40kW to 20kW and the Max. value from 80kW to 100kW

Revision # 1.50   Modifications made on February 3, 2004

  • At the Features section, 8-bit accuracy was deleted and (6+2) (7+1) bit was changed to 8-bit.
  • At the Block Diagram, the label SYS CLK/4 was modified to fSYS/4.
  • The Timer/Event Counter diagram was modified.
  • At the Low Voltage Reset section, the specs (0.9V~3.3V) was changed to (0.9V~VLVR). Then the diagram showing the relationship between VDD and VLVR, VDD: 3.3V was changed to 3.0V and VOPR: 3.0V was changed to 2.2V.

Revision # 1.40   Modifications made on September 3, 2003

  • The PD flag label was changed to PDF flag.
  • The Application Circuits were modified.
    • The recommended RESET circuitry was modified.
      For reasons of stability and noise immunity, the 2-resistor/2-capacitor or 2-resistor/1-capacitor recommended circuits are an improvement over the 1-resistor/1-capacitor circuit. The choice of which circuit is used depends upon the user application. For example, for battery powered applications the single resistor and single capacitor circuit may be adequate whereas for applications such as home appliances, industrial control applications or for circuits which are close to electrical noise sources, the 2-resistor/2-capacitor circuit may be the better choice.
    • The Crystal OSC application circuitry was also modified
      The recommended additional resistor has been added to ensure that the oscillator will cease to function when the supply voltage falls below 2.2V to prevent microcontroller malfunctions. This is because of instabilities in the oscillator at supply voltages of less than 2.2V.
    • The Instruction Definition section was modified, with the first two columns deleted.

Revision # 1.30   Modifications made on March 26, 2003

  • At the Features section, D.C. Characteristics table and other related sections, the Operating voltage range of 4.5V~5.5V at fSYS=8MHz was changed to 3.3V~5.5V.
  • At the Absolute Maximum Ratings section, the Supply Voltage range of
    VSS-0.3V to VSS+5.5V was changed to VSS-0.3V to VSS+6.0V.
  • The D.C. Characteristics table was modified.
  • The A.C. Characteristics table was modified, with tADCS added and the values for tWDTOSC modified.
  • The 6+2 and 7+1 PWM mode diagrams were modified.
  • The A/D conversion timing diagram was modified.
  • Two programming examples on how to setup and implement A/D conversion were added.
  • The two I2C flowcharts were modified.
  • The Application Circuits diagram was modified.
