Holtek HT83B60 Mask Type Voice MCU New Product Release
12/23/2011
After the release of its Flash type Voice IC, the HT83F02, and in order to allow customers to achieve the competitive price advantages of Voice ROM integration, Holtek is pleased to announce the release of its new HT83B60 Mask Type Voice MCU. The HT83B60 is the Mask version of the previous HT83F02 but also includes an integrated 8M bits of Voice ROM. Customers can still easily implement program development and validation using the HT83F02 development environment, after which they can use the HT83B60 device without requiring source code modifications.
In addition to an internal HOLTEK 8-bit embedded microcontroller, the HT83B60 also includes a Mask Program Memory, a Voice ROM, high speed SPI and I2C interfaces, a monophonic 12-bit voltage type DAC and a PWM driver which can directly drive 8 or 16 ohm speakers. Requiring very few external components and having high noise immunity and a wide operating temperature of -40°C~+85°C, this new device ensures that it is more reliable and simpler for products requiring a voice function.
These features combine to provide a device with all the integrated features for a wide product application range, in areas such as home security products, anti-theft equipment, healthcare products and other voice applications. With the low-cost and fast delivery advantages, this new device provides an excellent voice IC solution.
