Holtek's new released HT16515 VFD driver ICs

To enhance further the previous HT16511 and HT16512 series, Holtek has released its new HT16515 VFD (Vacuum Fluorescent Display) segment driver IC to expand the range of application possibilities and offer customers with a variety of flexible high quality display solutions.

The HT16515 VFD driver IC has an operating voltage of 5V and the VFD driving voltage can be up to VDD-35V. A 3-wire serial interface circuit is equipped to interface with a microcontroller. Through software commands, a variety of modes from 16-segment / 12-grid to 24-segment / 4-grid display mode is available to accommodate the different kinds of VFD devices. Up to 4-bit LED latch output ports and 8-step dimmer circuit can also be achieved. In addition, 16x2 key scan circuit is offered. The device is available in 44-pin QFP package.

The VFD driver series ICs are suitable for use in VFD display product applications such as electronic scale, home appliance, stereo, DVD player or other information appliances.
