New Automotive Specification MCU Product Release - HT46R46-H/HT46R47-H

Following on from its comprehensive series of Industrially specified Microcontroller devices, with their operating temperature range between -40℃ and 85℃, Holtek takes great delight in announcing the release of two brand new automotive specification devices, the HT46R46-H and HT46R47-H, with an operating temperature range from -40℃ to 125℃. The release of these devices has given Holtek the position of becoming the first IC design company in Taiwan to provide 8-bit microcontrollers that comply with automotive specifications. In addition to being applicable for use in the obvious automotive application product area, these new devices will also find use in many other applications, which operate in high temperature environments.

The HT46R46-H and HT46R47-H devices both fall within the A/D microcontroller category and contain either an A/D converter of either 8 or 9-bit resolution, which can be used to interface to analog signals from external sensors. In conjunction with the internal 8-bit PWM output, the devices are very suitable for temperature control, voltage or current control etc. Additionally the internal PFD (Programmable Frequency Divider) and Buzzer Driver Output functions can be used to generate audio signals. Other features include either 1K or 2K of Program Memory, 64 bytes of Data Memory, 13 I/O lines, an External Interrupt, Watchdog Timer and LVR (Low Voltage Reset) functions etc. The devices are available in either 18-pin DIP and SOP package types and are fully pin compatible with the HT46R46 and HT46R47 Industrially specified devices.

The release of these automotive specified devices has given the Holtek product line a major leap forward in its technology capabilities as well as providing an expansion of its device application area. The future will continue to see Holtek respond to the needs of its present and future customers by expanding the type and range of its devices.
