Holtek 24V VFD MCU New Product Release Series
10/26/2009
Holtek takes pleasure in the announcement of its new 24 Volt VFD device series. Presently this new range has four new product offerings, the HT48R065V as an I/O type MCU, the HT46R065V as an A/D type MCU and the HT45R35V and HT45R37V as Touch Switch type MCUs. This series meet with industrial specifications and can directly drive a 12~24V VFD Panel - Vacuum Fluorescent Display - with its embedded VFD driver. The devices also include an integrated LDO to generate a 5V to supply the MCU core and the external 5V components. Its internal high voltage Buzzer Driver circuit and Filament high voltage output ensure that the external component requirements are kept to a minimum.
This new 24V VFD MCU series have a Program Memory capacity of 2K to 4K, a Data Memory SRAM capacity of 96 to 160 bytes, from 11 to 17 I/O pins and one or two 8/16-bit timers. In addition to the usual crystal and external RC oscillators, the precise internal RC oscillator, with the exception of the HT45R35V, provides 3 fixed frequencies at 4, 8 and 12Mhz. The HT46R065V and HT45R37V devices also include a 12-bit high speed ADC and 8/12 bit PWM. The HT45R35V and HT45R37V includes 9 to 12 C/R-F channels can be used to easily implement touch switch functions.
The devices come packaged in a 52 QFP package. Their high level of integration and resources provide the user with high efficiency and low cost for household appliances, stereos, DVD players, Set-top Boxes, and car appliances etc.
Holtek also fully supports these devices with its comprehensive hardware and software development tools. Known as the HT-IDE3000, these development tools provide features such as real time emulation, hardware breakpoints complete with logical setups, full trace facilities as well as many application guides. All these development tool features combine to ensure that designers have a full suite of tools at hand to provide for rapid and efficient design and debug of their microcontroller based new product applications.
