Holtek HT47C10-1 R to F type MCU New Product Release

Holtek wishes to announce the release of the Mask version of the HT47R10A-1 device, with its new HT47C10-1. This new device has a specification which includes a 2.2V~5.5V operating voltage, 1Kx16 Program Memory capacity, 32-bytes of Data Memory, up to 8 I/O lines, a 36-pixel LCD driver in addition to a 16-bit timer and a single channel R-F converter function.

The R-F function in the HT47C10-1 is a resistance to frequency converter and can be used to measure resistance and for I/O control or to display related information. For these reasons, the HT47C10-1 is especially suitable for use in product applications that require to measure and display values. Examples of these could be electronic scales, temperature/humidity meters, temperature control instruments and other small-scale household appliances. The device includes an internal Real Time Clock function, which uses an external 32768Hz crystal for its operation and allows the system to maintain timing and program operation under conditions of extremely low power and also maintain LCD display drive functions. Additionally, the LCD driver design, using configuration options, allows for full compatibility between various types of LCD displays and the display driver outputs. The LCD illumination method is implemented using RAM mapping which assures easy programming of the accompanying LCD panel.

By incorporating high noise immunity characteristics, a watchdog timer and LVR features, as is found in other Holtek 8-bit MCUs, the device is assured of a high degree of protection from malfunctioning. The HT47C10-1 is supplied in a 44-pin QFP package type. Taking into account the customer’s need for easy product MCU interchangeability and to respond to market demands, the device is fully functionally compatible with the HT47R10A-1 OTP type MCU, giving the customer an additional low cost MCU alternative, after the product has reached the volume production stage.
