Holtek HT6P20x2 New Remote Control Encoder IC
August 6, 2010
Holtek is delighted to announce its new HT6P20x2 encoder IC device series, which are suitable for applications such as car alarms, motorcycle/electric bike alarms, house security products, gate control systems, curtain and doorbell control etc. The HT6P20x2 series encoder IC device range includes three types, the HT6P20B2, HT6P20D2 and HT6P20F2 all of which are encompassed in an 8-pin SOP package type. The HT6P20x2 includes an accurate fully embedded internal RC oscillator which requires no external components resulting in reduced production costs.
The HT6P20B2 is completely compatible with the HT6P20B thus requiring no changes to existing PCBs nor to the receiver circuit. The HT6P20D2 shares the same functions as the HT6P20D, but now only has an 8-pin package type which can reduce costs when compared to the HT6P20D, which comes in a 16-pin package. The receiver circuit also does not require any changes.
In addition, the HT6P20F2 supports five key inputs that makes it possible to reduce production costs while increasing the application flexibility without the need to provide any additional circuitry.
The HT6P20x2, with an operating voltage range of 2V~12V, operating temperature of -40°C~85°C, can be widely used in various application environments. The static current smaller is less than 1µA at an operating voltage of 12V making it very suitable for use in battery-powered applications.
