New Product Release 8-bit Cost-Effective MCU - HT48R062 July
26, 2006 Holtek is delighted to present a new addition to the cost-effective range of microcontrollers in the name of the
HT48R062 device. The specification includes 1K of OTP Program Memory, 32 bytes of Data Memory, 11 I/O pins, full power-down and wake-up functions, as well as watchdog timer and low voltage reset functions etc. The oscillator circuit includes the choice between an external RC or crystal type and the working voltage of the device has a range of 2.2V to 5.5V. To summarise, the
HT48R062, although being a highly cost competitive device, contains a comprehensive range of MCU functions.
The
HT48R062
conforms to industry specifications, and is especially suitable for small household appliances and for other applications which require a small scale controller device. Such applications could be simple battery chargers, small toy controllers or small scale kitchen appliances etc. Complementing the
HT48R062
OTP device is also the HT48C062 Mask type device. In meeting the needs of today's market for cost competitive devices, using a combination of the
HT48R062
and HT48C062 will provide superiority in both areas of development process and cost. To complement its range of MCU devices, Holtek also supplies a fully functional and user friendly hardware and software MCU development system. Known as the HT-IDE3000, the system contains a comprehensive range of features such as real time emulation, data memory/register read and write functions, hardware breakpoints with logical setups, trace analysis functions etc. Available for download from the Holtek website the system ensures that users have all the tools they need to ensure that their applications are designed and debugged in as short a time as possible. The device comes packaged in 16DIP, 16SOP and 16SSOP package types. Presently Holtek can accept requests for customer samples and production orders. The HT48C062 is scheduled for release during September 2006.
