New Cost-Effective I/O MCU device additions - HT48R08A-1/HT48R09A-1 July
13, 2006 Holtek Semiconductor, in offering these further additions to its range of Cost-Effective I/O type 8-bit
microcontrollers, namely the new HT48R08A-1 and HT48R09A-1, now offer designers two new devices with an input/output capacity of up to 13 and19 I/O pins. The new devices are fully pin compatible with the
HT48R05A-1, HT48R06A-1,
HT48R07A-1 devices from the Holtek standard Cost-Effective I/O MCU device range. These new devices, contain however additional Program and Data Memory capacity, offering the designer even more diversity of choice, in selecting an MCU for applications such as home appliances, consumer products and other intelligent control products.
The
HT48R08A-1 and HT48R09A-1 have an 8-bit Holtek microcontroller as their core, and have an operating frequency of up to 8MHz. The devices in having 13 and 19 I/O pins at their disposal, are very suited for multi-switch and multi-LED driving applications. With its internal Programmable Frequency Divider function, which can be used to generate audio frequencies, in addition to an internal timer and interrupt functions, designers are provided with even more effective program control functions. Holtek also supplies a range of software and hardware development tools, among which include the Holtek In-Circuit-Emulator, programming tools, Windows based software development environment in the form of the HT-IDE3000, a C-compiler as well as a range of application guides etc. all of which combine to provide designers with the suite of tools to meet the needs of present day designers who need a quick and efficient means of developing and debugging their application programs. The
HT48R08A-1 and HT48R09A-1
devices have already entered volume production and sample devices are already available. The
HT48R08A-1 is supplied in a 16-pin SSOP and 18-pin DIP/SOP while the
HT48R09A-1 in 24-pin SKDIP/SOP/SSOP package types, whose pin-outs are compatible with the HT48R05A-1, HT48R06A-1 and HT48R07A-1 devices and for which development tools are already available.
