Holtek Announces Release of New Series Remote Control MCUs

Forming the new generation of Remote Control MCUs, the HT48RA0-1/HT48CA0-1, HT48RA0-2/HT48CA0-2, HT48RA1/HT48CA1, HT48RA3/HT48CA3 and HT48RA5/HT48CA5 series of devices, are available in both fully compatible Mask and OTP versions. Within the series, the HT48RA0-1/HT48CA0-1 and HT48RA0-2/HT48CA0-2 pair of devices have a working voltage range of 2.0V~3.6V and a Program Memory capacity of 1Kx14, making them extremely suitable for the more simple type of remote control applications. Also incorporated into the devices are features such as a 2.0V Low Voltage Reset function and 16 I/O lines, which can support a 64 key matrix scanning interface. The devices can directly replace the pin compatible old series HT48CA0 Mask device and the HT48RA0A OTP device. 

The HT48RA1/HT48CA1, HT48RA3/HT48CA3 and HT48RA5/HT48CA5 devices each contain a respective 8K/24K/40K Program Memory capacity and have a working voltage of 2.0V ~5.5V. These devices also posses a configuration option selectable, 2.0V or 3.0V internal Low Voltage Reset function. With their larger memory capacities these three devices are more suited towards Universal Remote Control, Learning Remote Control or other Home Appliance Remote Control applications.
