05/31/03/2010
The HT95R43, HT95R44, HT95R45 series of devices forms a new series addition to Holtek’s already comprehensive range of 8-bit Phone MCUs. The new devices have a Program Memory capacity range of 4K to 16K of Program Memory, 1152 or 2112 bytes of Data Memory, 28 or 40 I/O pins, an 8-level stack, two or three internal 16-bit timers, an RTC timer and four external interrupt pins. The device is supplied in both 64-pin LQFP and 80-pin LQFP package types.
The HT95R4x series, with their internal DTMF Receiver and Generator functions, are of course suitable for use in general telecommunication product applications, however their internal CPT (Call Progress Tone) Receiver function will see the devices also finding use in more functionally advanced products. The HT95R4x series also contains a 12-bit D/A converter and an SPI/I2C interface which provide the devices with the capability of implementing voice functions via external communication with external Flash Voice memory. These features yet further expand the range of telecommunication applications for the device range. This application range will extend into product areas such as multi-function phones, cordless phones, answering machines and household security products etc.
The HT95R4x devices all have high levels of functional integration, low cost, low power consumption and high efficiency. The devices share the same excellent noise rejection characteristics as all other Holtek 8-bit MCU devices, with the inclusion of an internal watchdog timer further enhancing their immunity against malfunction. Holtek of course supplies a full suite of highly functional hardware and software development tools, in which is included a full voice editing function, real-time hardware emulation, full memory/register access, hardware breakpoints with logic setups, full trace analysis functions etc. These all add up to ensure that designers are well equipped for rapid and efficient product development and fast debug time.
