Holtek New HT47C06L R-F Low Power MCU Product Release

Holtek wishes to announce the release of a new R-F type 8-bit microcontroller, the HT47C06L. The device has a working voltage of 1.2V~2.2V, a Program Memory capacity of 1K*16, Data Memory capacity of 32 Bytes, up to 8 I/O lines, a 39-pixel LCD driver, a 16-bit timer and a single channel R-F converter function.

The R-F function within the HT47C06L converts a resistance value to a frequency, a function which can be used to measure resistance values and then in turn used to control motion or to display information. For this reason the HT47C06L is especially suitable for use in applications which require measurement and display functions such as scales, temperature and humidity meters, temperature and humidity controllers as well as other small scale household electrical appliances. The LCD driver function in the device is also provided with a range of system options which the user can chose to enable compatibility with their application display type. As the LCD driver also uses RAM mapping for its display programming the programming process is greatly simplified.

Similar to other Holtek devices, the HT47C06L has excellent protection against operational malfunction with its high noise immunity, watchdog timer and Low Voltage Reset functions. The HT47C06L is supplied in a 44-pin QFP package and of course is fully supported by Holtek’s HT-IDE3000 development system. This suite of hardware and software development tools provides all the features one would expect of a development system including real-time hardware emulation, memory and register read/write functions, hardware breakpoints with logical setups, full trace analysis functions etc. ensuring that product designers have all the tools at hand to have their new products designed and debugged quickly and efficiently.
