Holtek HT82A834R New Release – USB Audio MCU

Following on from the successful release of Holtek’s HT82A832R, which has found major applications in USB Audio related products and internet phones, Holtek is delighted to now announce the release of an additional similar product, the HT82A834R USB Audio MCU. This device incorporates all the original main functions and characteristics of the HT82A832R, which is compatible with USB 2.0 Full Speed and USB Audio Device Class 1.0 specification. It includes an integrated Audio Codec and high power amplifier, embedded microcontroller and OTP memory, in addition to an integrated 16-bit Delta-Sigma ADC. With a sampling rate of 16KHz this integrated ADC has superior audio performance.

The highly integrated design of the HT82A834R USB Audio MCU uses a Holtek 8-bit microcontroller core with an operating voltage of 3.3V ~ 5.5V and a maximum clock frequency of 12MHz. The Program Memory is a One Time Programmable type of 4K x 15 capacity, and the Data Memory RAM has a capacity of 192 bytes. The device also includes 24 general purpose I/O lines. As this USB Audio device can be applied for use in a huge range of related USB products including internet phone products, its wide ranging features provide customers with a means to reduce their external component count and give rapid product development times, enhancing their competitiveness and providing faster time to market solutions.
