New device addition to the Cost Effective MCU range - HT48R07A-1 March
17, 2006 Holtek Semiconductor, in offering this further addition to its range of Cost Effective I/O type 8-bit microcontrollers, namely the new
HT48R07A-1, now offers designers a device with an input/output capacity of up to 19 I/O pins. This new device is fully pin compatible with the
HT48R10A-1 device from the Holtek standard I/O MCU device range, however offers the benefits of lower cost. When compared with its sister device in the Cost Effective I/O range, namely the
HT48R06A-1, this new device contains an additional 6 I/O pins, offering the designer even more diversity of choice, in selecting an MCU for applications such as home appliances, consumer products and other intelligent control product.
The
HT48R07A-1 has an 8-bit Holtek microcontroller as its core, and has an operating frequency of up to 8 MHz. The device in having 19 I/O pins at its disposal, is very suited for multi-switch and multi-LED driving applications. With its internal Programmable Frequency Divider function, which can be used to generate audio frequencies, in addition to an internal timer and interrupt functions, designers are provided with even more effective program control functions. Holtek also supplies a range of software and hardware development tools, among which include the Holtek In-Circuit-Emulator, programming tools, Windows based software development environment in the form of the HT-IDE3000, a C-compiler as well as a range of application guides etc. all of which combine to provide designers with the suite of tools to meet the needs of present day designers who need a quick and efficient means of developing and debugging their application programs. The
HT48R07A-1 devices have already entered volume production and sample devices are already available. The device is supplied in a 24-pin SKDIP, SOP and SSOP package types, whose pin-outs are compatible with the
HT48R10A-1 device and for which development tools are already available.
