Holtek New Device Release – HT46F47E A/D Type Flash MCU
Following on from the successful release of Holtek’s I/O type Flash microcontrollers, Holtek now wishes to announce the release of a new A/D type Flash microcontroller, the HT46F47E. The Program Memory in the HT46F47E can be programmed using its In-Circuit Programming Interface, which allows the device to be programmed in-circuit after product manufacture. The device can be reprogrammed up to 100,000 times. This provides a method of simplified product software updating, which reduces the time to market demands and provides possibilities for enhanced after sales service support. For example, before shipment, the user can program their products with the latest software version and parameters without being limited by restricted program cycle numbers. After product shipment, software upgrades can be conveniently implemented increasing the product’s added value.
The HT46F47E has a Flash Program Memory capacity of 2K x 14, an EEPROM Data Memory capacity of 128 bytes and 64 bytes of RAM Data Memory and contains up to 13 I/O lines. In addition to these features the internal 9-bit 4-channel A/D converter can be used to measure external analog signals and therefore used in conjunction with different sensor types for external sensing such as battery voltages, current measurement, temperature, humidity, pressure, illumination level functions etc. The PWM output function in the HT46F47E can be used for temperature control, motor speed control or to determine fixed voltages or currents etc. The internal Programmable Frequency Divider can be used to generate frequencies which when used together with appropriate audio components can generate audible frequencies or for generating infrared output carrier wave signals.
Similar to all other Holtek 8-bit MCU devices, the HT46R47E has excellent noise immunity and together with its internal watchdog timer and LVR functions has excellent protection against malfunction when operating in hostile environments. The device is supplied in 16-pin NSOP, 18-pin DIP/SOP and 20-pin SSOP package types.
