Holtek Releases New Generation HT37Qxx and HT37Axx Music Device Series

In obtaining established excellent market evaluation for the HT36xxx series of Music Microcontrollers, Holtek is now delighted to announce the release of a new additional Music series, the HT37xxx. This new device range incorporates all the excellent features of the HT36xxx series as well as including several new hardware features, to provide yet even more flexible application possibilities.


As is the case with other Holtek MCU devices, the HT37xxx series naturally includes a Holtek 8-bit core. Additionally though, these new devices include WaveTable sampling technology, giving almost CD music quality. The internal 0.4W Class AB audio power amplifier is capable of directly driving either an 8Ω or 16Ω speaker, and if compared with other music device PWM speaker driving methods, provides even higher music quality. An internal 16-bit DAC and A/D converter, together with multiple I/O pins ensures that these new devices have all the features to meet the requirements of a huge range of multi-function high music quality products.


With a different music simulation method, the HT37xxx series, in using WaveTable technology and its music quality compensation circuitry, whether it is the 4-channel HT37Qxx series or the 8-channel HT37Axx series, all have the same excellent sound quality. The new technology employed in the HT37xxx series for music quality enhancement provides it a with a WaveFile output play quality similar to that of MIDI files. These excellent sound quality features will see the HT37XX series devices finding excellent use in Piano products, high quality music broadcast products, electronic music box products etc.
