25, 2006 With present day motherboards, with their multi USB sockets and with the convenience of automatic device driver installation under the Windows ME and XP operating systems, Holtek announces its new
HT82K94E USB Keyboard OTP MCU. Based on the
HT82K95E USB Keyboard OTP MCU, which over the years has already obtained much positive market appraisal, the new
HT82K94E
device has the features of increased Program Memory capacity and additional I/O bi-directional lines, while at the same time still retaining the reliability of the
HT82K95E.
This new device has dual mode, dual frequency and multi-port bi-directional I/O features while also possessing the benefits of a Power Down mode, giving the user an excellent choice for corded keyboards with calculator functions and multi-media applications. The
HT82K94E
device uses an embedded Holtek MCU as its core, and contains 6K x 16 of Program Memory and 224 x 8 of Data Memory. A Halt feature enables the device to enter a Low Power mode. The device has an operating voltage range of 4.2V~5.5V and a maximum operating frequency of 12MHz. With the supply voltage at 5V, when the device is in the Low Power Mode, it has an exceptionally low supply current of only 3uA. The MCU device contains 40 I/O lines and was designed with the WinX system and multi-media keyboards in mind, making it suitable for use in multi-functional calculator keyboards. Holtek Semiconductor, with this new release has provided a device with not only superiority in specification but also in cost competitiveness. In the ever increasingly competitive keyboard product market, a new device is now available to provide related manufactures with an additional excellent choice for a new generation of related applications.
