New HT46R32/HT46R322 Product Release A/D type Microcontroller with OPA

01/16/2007

Holtek Semiconductor is delighted to announce the release of two devices in its new A/D with OTP type Microcontroller series. Known as the HT46R32 and HT46R322, the two devices contain 2Kx14 of Program Memory, 88 bytes of Data Memory and up to 20 I/O pins. Other special functions are their fully integrated 12-bit A/D converter and an internal operational amplifier whose offset voltage is adjustable down to a near ideal value of 2mV. All of these features combine to expand and open up new application possibilities for these two new devices.
The HT46R322, in addition to incorporating all the features of the HT46R32 device, also includes an 8x8 array of high current drive output pins. With a specification of 40mA sink current at 5V and -20mA source current at 5V, these special internal drive circuits allow the direct driving of external components such as LEDs, LED arrays and 7-segment displays etc. By being able to directly drive these components, the need for external drive components is reduced, with the advantages of reduced PCB areas and simplified circuit design. For these reasons the HT46R32 and HT46R322 are suitable for applications such as household appliances, small scale control system products such as switch mode power supplies electric induction hobs, electric blankets, electric cookers, washing machines, dish dryers and a range of other multi-function electrical appliances etc.
As is the case with other Holtek MCU devices, these devices also incorporate a high level of noise immunity, an internal watchdog timer and low voltage reset function, increasing the device’s immunity to malfunction. The HT46R32 is supplied in three package types, 28-pin SKDIP, 28-pin SOP and 28-pin SSOP, while the HT46R322 is supplied in a 44-pin QFP package type. The difference between the HT46R32 and the HT46R322 package types is in the addition of an extra 16 high current output pins.
