Holtek receives Asus Green Management and Samsung Eco-Partner awards October 17, 2005 In recognition of its efforts in the area of environmental protection and Pb-free product manufacturing, Holtek is delighted to have received Green Supplier Certificates, from two of its customers. The first of these was a Green Management System Verification Award (certificate no. C-GA4-G5036), given in June, by the headquarters of ASUS in Taipei. The second one, the Samsung Eco-Partner Certificate (certificate No. EPC-2295), was awarded to Holtek in October. In fully realising the importance of environmental protection, starting from March 2003, Holtek implemented the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System. At the same time Holtek began the process of cooperating in the Sony Corporation and Asus Green Partner System. Holtek’s efforts in this area were confirmed later in the same year by being awarded an ISO 14001 Sony Green Partner certificate and an ASUS Green Partner certificate. In receiving the affirmation of our customers for green partnership, Holtek’s resolve in the area of environmental protection has been further confirmed. Additionally Holtek’s environmentally friendly Pb-free products, already meet the requirements of the European Union’s RoHS directive on the restriction of use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment. Holtek’s products and production materials are also sent to a third party company, SGS, for analysis, the outcome of which have continually resulted in compliance with standards, offering further assurance to the customer’s environmental protection demands.
