Board of directors revised both ex-dividend and ex-right day to August 3, 2005

Holtek today (July 12, 2005) announced the revision of both ex-dividend and ex-right day from July 26, 2005 to August 3, 2005. Due to the internal need, the both ex-dividend and ex-right day will be deferred to August 3, 2005, and the shareholders' register shall be closed for registration of share transfer from July 30 through August 3, 2005. To be entitled for the above-mentioned dividends, any person acquires Holtek's shares without being registered as a holder shall apply for the shareholders' registration with Chinatrust Transfer Agency by July 29, 2005.
