Holtek Establishes MCU Laboratory at the National Kaohsiung First University of Science and Technology
In a further expansion of Holtek’s Industry/Acadamic cooperative activities, on the 11th of December, Holtek Semiconductor conducted its opening ceremony and presentation of equipment the National Kaohsiung First University of Science and Technology. Holtek’s vice president Mr. Chang Chih was in attendance where the presentation of laboratory equipment to a value of 500,000 Taiwan dollars was conducted. Both sides in this cooperative platform hope to reap the benefits of encouraging the emergence of more professional semiconductor professionals.
On the day of the ceremony the University presented Holtek with a plaque of gratitude as a souvenir of the days event. The Department of Electronics Dean, Mr. Liang Cai Chun, was there to accept the donation and together with Mr. Chang Chih from Holtek, the Holtek MCU laboratory was formally declared open. In the future the laboratory will be used for MCU instruction to upgrade the standard of MCU application development and creative abilities.
Mr. Chang Chih expressed how Holtek is recently vigorously promoting industrial/academic cooperation and by donating higher quality equipment to the laboratory, is trying to actively encourage experimentation among students. By obtaining practical experience and skills, students will be able to obtain the expertise required by today’s industry and also provide themselves them with more marketable skills. In addition to this, Holtek hopes to increase the quality of skill level and help to alleviate the problems of microcontroller application design.
