Holtek 2003 New Product Presentation (China) Seminar Report
After
the successful Taipei and Seoul new product seminars, two further
new product seminar took place in Shanghai, China. The first was in
the Shangri-La Hotel in Shanghai on 10th November and the second at
the Hua Ting Hotel and Towers, on November 13th. Forming the 4th and
5th of this series of Holtek's new products seminars this formally
marks the end of this years' new product presentations. These two
seminars were mainly aimed at agents and customers in the Southern,
Eastern and Northern China regional areas.
The
seminars began with a welcome address by Holtek China's president
Mr. Lu Rui Shi followed by an explanation of Holtek's future
development strategy by Gordon Gau, Holtek's president. This was
followed by an introduction to the seminar by Mr. Chang Chi, the
Vice President of Holtek's Design Center. The seminar content was
sub-divided into three main sections, namely MCU series devices, MCU
peripheral devices and MCU development tools. Holtek's MCU based
product strategy together with its determination to develop and
expand their MCU product range was clearly explained and an
explanation given as to how the Holtek website will be further
expanded as a tool for customer and technology service and support.

During
this year Holtek has released a range of high quality MCU devices
such as standard I/O type, LCD type, A/D type as well as A/D with
LCD type of MCUs in addition to other embedded MCU types. In the
future Holtek, in keeping in line with market trends and
requirements, will continue to release new MCU devices including
devices in the EEPROM, USB, VFD etc. new product category areas.
Additionally, full details were given on Holtek's Phone Controllers,
Memory Products, Keyboard/Mouse devices, Music/Voice MCUs, Dot
Matrix MCUs as well as other peripheral MCU devices. A range of
products using Holtek MCU devices was on display, and an
introduction to Holtek's new HT-ICE emulator and HT-Writer tools was
given.
By introducing some actual examples of
products which use Holtek devices, the potential and application
possibilities of Holtek's MCUs and MCU peripheral devices could be
better understood by all, demonstrating how Holtek MCU devices offer
excellent solutions and the best choice to meet the demanding needs
of today's designers and manufactures of highly functional and high
quality products.
By maintaining its vision of "Sharing
