Holtek to participate in Beijing/Shanghai 2001 "Taiwan Semiconductor Day"

In association with related China mainland semiconductor organizations, CETRA has arranged two "Taiwan Semiconductor Day" sessions to take place between the dates 13th –18th December. Located in Beijing and Shanghai, these two Taiwan Semiconductor Day sessions, in addition to other activities, will provide related companies from both sides of the Taiwan strait with an opportunity for greater understanding of each others needs and a forum in which to establish contacts and effective marketing relationships.

Holtek Semiconductor, in the area of microcontroller development, has acquired a vast array of microcontroller design expertise, during which time it has built-up an enviable standard and embedded MCU device range as well as developing a full range of related peripheral devices. During the 1996 to 2000 period, the mainland China market regional area has grown annually by an average of 26.7%, with market predictions stating that by 2005 the China mainland region will be the third largest world market behind that of the US and Japan. In the new digital economic age, the mainland China region will be Holtek's major global market area. In addition to the already established customer technology support and education and training centre in Shanghai, the future will see Holtek establish additional service locations, which in addition to cooperation with third party design companies, will allow Holtek to take full advantage of the enormous commercial potential of this region and increase its overall global competitiveness.
