Holtek 2003 New Product Presentation (Seoul) Seminar Report

Taking place on the 28th of October, the Ritz Carlton in Seoul was the venue for Holtek's 2003 new product presentation seminar in Korea. The choice of the prestigious Gangnam-Gu area for the product presentation ensured the convenience and comfort of all attendees. The fact that this was the third presentation by Holtek in Seoul, demonstrates the commitment and successful inroads Holtek has made into the Korean market.

The number of devices discussed at this year's event exceeded that of previous events. In addition to providing descriptions of the A/D +LCD MCUs, the VFD MCUs and the EEPROM MCUs, other devices such as the VFD driver, the OLED driver etc were all individually explained to the attending Holtek representatives and customers. Mr. Chang Chi, the Vice President of Holtek's Design Center, and Mr. Saul Wu, from the Sales and Marketing Center, were present to answer any questions that customers may have had in the technical and business areas respectively.

This year was different in that the presentation was conducted in Korean rather than in English as happened on previous occasions. As a result, Bedro Yang and James Choi from Holtek's representative in Korea, AIN Electronics, were invited to conduct the new product presentations to remove any language misunderstandings that may have arisen. After the formal opening of the event by Mr. Saul Wu, the presentations proceeded with the following agenda:

09:45-10:45 Standard MCU (Part I)
10:45-11:00 Tea Break
11:00-11:30 Standard MCU (Part II)
11:30-12:00 Phone MCU
12:00-13:30 Lunch
13:30-14:10 Music MCU & Voice MCU
14:10-14:45 Dot Matrix MCU & Data Bank MCU & Alphanumeric
14:45-15:15 PC Peripheral
15:15-15:30 Tea Break
15:30-16:30 Display Power Management & Analog
16:30-17:00 Q&A

The event drew to a close after a very lively Question and Answer session. We are greatly indebted to Mr. Y.S. Suh, the president of AIN Electronics and all his relevant personnel for their efforts to arrange the seminar location, the related material, communication coordination etc. Their hard work and efforts was necessary in ensuring the smooth running and success of the event and for which we are extremely grateful.
