2001 Taitronics International Electronics Exhibition Report

The Taitronics electronic component exhibition in Taiwan is one of the foremost electronic component exhibitions in the Asian region. This year the exhibition took place from October 9th to 13th as usual in the Taipei World Trade Centre. Similar to that of previous years the event attracted over 1,000 exhibitors, however the recent global economic downturn coupled with the 911 incident resulted in somewhat less visitors to our exhibition stand than in previous years.

As usual Holtek was in attendance at the exhibition, the venue providing an excellent opportunity for Holtek to introduce the company and its important products to the wider international market area and to provide a forum for the establishment of new customer relationships. The emphasis by Holtek this year was on its 8-bit standard and embedded microcontrollers, however the RFID devices, RF keyboard and mouse devices and the wide range of microcontrollers attracted great deal of interest and questions from visitors. Present at the trade stands were professional technical staff to provide on hand detailed information to visitors.

The five days of the exhibition, taking place in a vibrant and busy atmosphere was judged to be a success by all. Of the 400 or so visitors from home and overseas who visited the Holtek stand, all were seemingly impressed with the professionalism of our 8-bit standard and embedded microcontrollers. To further expand our international market presence, in the future Holtek will continue to utilise similar events like the Taipei exhibition to promote its business and IC design expertise to the wider international customer base.
