Holtek’s 2007 New Product Seminar Report

Holtek Semiconductor’s annual new product seminar this year took place at the Grand Formosa Hotel in Taipei. Two seminars were conducted, one in Chinese on the 4th October and one in English on the 11th October, and saw a total of over 250 attendees, more than in previous years. This large number of attendees reflects the market’s affirmation and confidence in Holtek’s expertise in the microcontroller application area. Attracting the most attention at this year’s events were Holtek’s series of Flash Type microcontrollers, in line with the market’s final product and microcontroller trends and developments. Holtek Semiconductor fully is firmly committed to its resolution of becoming a major world class professional microcontroller provider. Also on display at the seminar, were popular product applications such as digital picture frames, TFT-LCD panels and household appliances using touch switch technology as well as vehicle CCD reversing cameras and fingerprint recognition safety controllers etc. With the accompanying explanation from attending personnel, participants were able to experience the close relationship between Holtek’s new device developments and the needs of the market.

Recent years have seen Holtek’s design activities focused in the direction of microcontroller development. This year’s seminar in addition to providing detailed new device descriptions, also discussed product development tools and application technology problems etc, supplemented with detailed discussions. With accompanying products on display for demonstration, the venue was set for direct face-to-face communication with agents and customers, enhancing the overall effectiveness of this year’s seminars and increasing expectations for even closer future working relationships with Holtek.
