The Nanjing Institute of Technology establishes The Holtek Application Development Center

The Nanjing Institute of Technology together with Holtek Semiconductor (Shanghai) have jointly established the Holtek Application Development Center. As a joint venture between these two parties, a formal opening ceremony of the newly established Allied Laboratory took place on the 19th of May at the institute, during which time a donation of research instrumentation was made. In attaching great importance to this event, many important personnel from the institure and from Holtek took time out from their hectic schedules to attend this event.

The aforementioned laboratory will focus on teaching and application research, and supply society at large with Holtek MCU technology information and related technical training. The department of Electrical Power at the Nanjing Institute of Technology has already this year established an application research graduate design course, now by combining the facilities of this well equipped laboratory with this course, will permit the students to conduct special subject research, and will implement a student microcontroller design application competition. At the same time it is planned that the institute will, in the future, assist in the writing of books about microcontroller principles and application teaching tools as well as experimental guide books. In implementing the training of specialised personnel and technology infomration, this has given Province of Jiangsu and the surrounding area a broader and more professional service.
