Formal Opening of Holtek MCU Laboratory at the Nan Kai University of Technology
An equipment donation ceremony for the Holtek MCU laboratory at the Automation Department of the Nan Kai University of Technology took place on the 9th of April. Along with this was an agreement to extend the contract for the existing Holtek MCU laboratory at the electronics department. With this cooperative platform now established both parties hope that this venture will help in the fostering of MCU related personnel.
Conducting the donation ceremony, for what is the second laboratory at the University, was Holtek’s Executive Vice President, Mr. Chang Chih along with the Dean of Nan Kai University of Technology. Mr. Chang Chih expressed his hope that that, in opening this second laboratory at the Automation Department, teachers and students from different backgrounds will be able to use Holtek MCU devices in the development of automation controllers and also hopes that with this cooperative venture together we will see the development of MCU and related products.
The Dean of the University said that Holtek is a well known domestic IC design house, which will continue in the future to face stiff competition and only with such academic/industrial cooperative enterprises such as this will we be able to foster excellence in the development of related MCU personnel. He expressed his gratitude for the donation of these development systems and MCU devices, having a value of around 100,000 Taiwan dollars, as well as providing technological information. These resources will allow students, in addition to their theoretical studies, to obtain real and thorough practical experience as well as full logistical support.
