1998 New Communication Products Seminar

Just over the border from Hong Kong, the Shangri-La Hotel in Shen Zhen was the setting for the Holtek new Communication Product seminar. Taking place on December 14th the focus of this event was on Holtek's Caller ID and Cordless Phone devices. In total around 230 people from Mainland China attended this seminar.

As well as focussing on the above mentioned key products a presentation was given on the complete range of Holtek Communication Products of which include Dialer and LCD Driver devices. However, as most of the attendees at this year's seminar were in fact Holtek agents the main focus of attention remained upon the new Caller ID and Cordless Phone products.

The second morning session saw the introduction of Caller ID Solutions in some detail. This included details behind the Caller ID embedded microcontroller devices HT99D810/HT99D820, Decoder HT9030/HT9035, DTMF Receiver HT9170 as well as the Low Power OPA HT9274 and the Holtek Range of Voltage Regulators.

The Holtek Cordless Phone solutions were introduced during the afternoon sessions. The embedded microcontroller HT99C410/HT99C810 and Combo. Chip HT9015 devices, were introduced in detail along with comparisons with other manufacturers products. In addition, information was provided how to interface the devices to other Holtek related products such as the HT93C46 EEPROM and the HT1613A LCD Driver. The Enhanced Cordless Phone Controller HT99U series was also introduced. Demo kits were used to further explain and enhance the effectiveness of the presentations.

The lively discussions taking place, along with the feedback received showed that the seminar was a success, demonstrating Holtek's important presence and commitment to the Communication market area.

Although only one day in duration much information was presented and from the enthusiastic response of the attendees the event was an obvious success.
