Holtek and Lee Ming Institute of Technology Equipment Donation Ceremony

As a major microcontroller company in Taiwan, Holtek Semiconductor on 1st December 2008 conducted a donation ceremony at the Li Ming Institute of Technology in Taipei. At the ceremony to donate microcontroller development systems, Holtek’s vice president, and the Dean of the Institute, formally opened the proceedings. Participating in the event were managerial staff from Holtek, and many other staff from the Institute.


Holtek has exerted much effort and time in the area of microcontroller development, with recent years exhibiting special advancements. Its device range meet with full industrial specifications, and cover a broad range of applications including household appliances, medical equipment, instrumentation, automotive peripheral equipment etc. Holtek’s vice president, Chang Chih, expressed the view that Holtek has been vigorously involved in industrial/academic partnerships by setting up its MCU laboratories over the island. In doing so Holtek has been able to create an environment for the development of application development and for the training of microcontroller professional engineers. With these activities Holtek is committed to offering its cooperation to the Taiwan Ministry of Education’s encouragement for closer collaboration between the academic world and industry to face future development trends. Additionally, with teacher/student participation and observation in its MCU competition, Holtek has also created a forum for academic technological interaction.


Mr. Zhao, the school’s Dean, expressed his thanks for Holtek’s efforts in this joint industry/academic venture, and expressed his opinion of how the school will use this donated equipment as a basis for teaching and research.
