Holtek Green packages meet IEC 61249-2-21 Requirement
1. Holtek has already gradually started to supply customers with environmentally friendly Green (Halogen
-Free) devices in order to reduce or eliminate hazardous substances in their packaging. Holtek guarantees that its product contents will conform to the limitation of Bromine composition (Br)<900ppm(0.09%), Chlorine composition (Cl)<900ppm(0.09%) and total concentration of chlorine(Cl)+Bromine(Br)<1500ppm(0.15%) which are banned by the IEC61249-2-21 Directive.
2. Presently, the complete range of Holtek's devices, which include SOT89,TSSOP,QFN,QFP package types, are in compliance with the IEC61249-2-21 directive.
3. The following are the six prioritised package types, namely SOT-89, TO-92, SOP, DIP, QFP and QFN, as well as an introduction to other definitions and distinguishing types:
1. Definition: Green products utilise Green Compound in the Molding materials instead of the present Halogen compounds. This is shown in the following picture with the Molding Compound marked in red.

2. The following table gives examples of how Green products are marked on the top markings of the IC
and in the labeling on the outer carton:
