E-price scales have a huge range of application areas in daily life such as for product pricing, precise weighing instruments, industrial packaging and storage transportation to name but a few.
Holtek is delighted to announce its BH45B1224 device, which is an A/D converter dedicated for electronic weighing instrument applications. The device has the benefits of excellent temperature characteristics and also low power consumption characteristics. This makes it suitable for high precision electronic weighing instruments requiring a precision of 15000 counts and which also require low power consumption etc. The Holtek LED E-price scale device includes a VCM pin which has an output voltage of 1.2V and an output current of 10mA, which can directly drive load-cells as well as the A/D converter reference voltage VREF to reduce the load-cell current consumption and prevent poor temperature characteristics due to the reference voltage VREF dividing resistors. The internal PGA gain can be setup to have a value between 1 and 64, the A/D converter reference gain can be setup to have a value between 1 and 1/4 and the A/D converter gain can be setup to have a value between 1 and 8. These gains add up to enable the input signal to be amplified up to 512 times using these gain values. The internal temperature detector can also detect whether the device external environment temperature requires temperature compensation to be executed.
