Holtek HT4xR005, HT4xR006, HT4xR01B-1 and HT4xR01N-1 New Small Package MCU SeriesFollowing last year’s successful release of Holtek’s small package MCU devices, the I/O type HT48R0xx and A/D type HT46R0xx series, Holtek is now delighted to announce the release of new additions to the small package device range. These are the ultra small 10-pin MSOP devices including the I/O type HT48R005/HT48R006/HT48R01B-1 and the A/D type HT46R005/HT46R006/HT46R01B-1, as well as 16-pin NSOP devices which include the I/O type HT48R01N-1 and the A/D type HT46R01N-1. With a footprint outline of only 3mm x 3mm, the 10-pin MSOP package types are even smaller than 8-pin DIP/SOP package types making them especially suitable for applications where space is at a premium.

In the area of functionality, this new series includes an OTP Program Memory capacity ranging from 1Kx15 to 2Kx15, SRAM Data Memory capacity of 32 to 96 bytes, 6 to 10 I/O pins, an internal Time Base and one or two 8-bit timers. The A/D type devices include a 12-bit internal high speed ADC and an 8-bit PWM output. Three or four types of system oscillators are provided, a high frequency crystal type, low frequency crystal (32kHz), an external RC oscillator and internal RC oscillator. The internal RC oscillator can be chosen to have one of three different frequencies, 4MHz, 8MHz or 12MHz, each with a tolerance of ±2%.

These new small package MCU devices, with their special characteristics of flexible I/O functions, low cost, small outlines and high performance will find widespread use in a huge range of application areas.

To support these devices, Holtek provides a full suite of hardware and software development tools, known as the HT-IDE3000 which includes an In-Circuit-Emulator, full trace analysis functions as well as many other functions to ensure that users have their designs debugged and running in the shortest time possible.
