Holtek Releases New HT48R06X and HT46R06X Enhanced Device Series

With a combination of its design technology and design experience, Holtek is delighted to announce the release of two new Enhanced series MCUs, the I/O Type HT48R06X and A/D Type HT46R06X. These two new device ranges take a step forward in meeting increasing customers demands for devices with improved cost/function ratios. The special characteristics of these new devices lie in their high level of functional integration, which reduces extensively the need for peripheral components and brings with it the added benefits of reduced PCB size and cost. These advantages make these new devices suitable for use in applications such as small household appliances which may include an LCD as part of their product function.

Some of the special characteristics of the HT48R06X and HT46R06X series can be seen from their industrial quality specifications, operating voltage of 2.2~5.5V, internal R-Type LCD COM driver, multi-function I/O pins, high-speed 12-bit A/D converter, PWM function, internal RC oscillator, power-down and wake up functions, high and low dual frequency dynamically switchable system clock operation as well as RTC function etc. This comprehensive range of features come together to offer a new range of highly competitive MCU devices with superior functions and characteristics. In addition to these functions, users are provided with the convenience of a wide choice of package types to meet the needs of an extensive range of applications.

These two new device ranges will see excellent use in areas such as small household appliance applications, some of which could include electronic scales, electric fans, chargers, vacuum cleaners etc. to mention only a very few. Presently, market attention is much focused on devices with superior cost/function ratios.
