Holtek HT48R01T3/HT68F03T3, HT46R01T3/HT66F03T3 New RF Transmitter MCU device series
March 22, 2010
Holtek wishes to announce the release of a new series of RF Transmitter MCU devices. Comprised of two I/O type HT48R01T3/HT68F03T3 devices and two A/D type HT46R01T3/HT66F03T3 devices, all are supplied in 16-pin NSOP package types. The full range meets with full industrial specification operating temperature requirements of -40°C ~ 85°C as well as possessing excellent noise immunity characteristics. Regarding their RF capabilities, the RF transmitter can transmit using ASK modulation in the 300MHz~450MHz RF transmission frequency range with data rates of higher than 10Kbps. With a 3.5V operating voltage, the transmission power can reach a maximum safety specified level of 10dBm. By including a data tracking function, transmission is implemented only when data is being sent out without requiring additional MCU control, resulting in extremely low system power consumption.
The HT4xR01T3 OTP series MCU contain 1K x 15 of OTP Program Memory, 96 bytes of SRAM, eight I/O pins, an internal Time Base and two 8-bit Timers. The A/D type also includes an internal 12-bit high speed Analog to Digital Converter and an 8-bit PWM output. Four types of oscillator are provided, which include a high frequency external crystal oscillator, an external 32KHz low frequency crystal oscillator, an external RC oscillator and a fully integrated high speed internal RC oscillator. This latter high speed internal RC oscillator requires no external components and has a fixed frequency of 4MHz and 8MHz frequency with an accuracy of ±2%.
The HT6xF03T3 Flash series MCU include 1K x 16 of Flash Program Memory, 64 bytes of SRAM as well as an area of Data EEPROM. Other common features include seven I/O pins and extremely flexible Timer Modules. These Timer Modules can offer five different operating modes which include Input Capture Mode, Compare Mode, Timer/Event Counting, Single Pulse Output generation as well as PWM signal generation output. The A/D type HT66F03T3 device also includes a 12-bit high speed Analog to Digital Converter. In addition to external crystal and external RC oscillators, the devices also include a fully integrated accurate RC oscillator, requiring no external components and offering frequencies of 8MHz and 12MHz. As these are Flash Type Memory devices an In-System Programming interface is provided, allowing the application hardware to have its program easily and quickly upgraded. An area of EEPROM memory also permits the storage of relevant application data as well as allowing information such as calibration data, parameter adjustments to be stored during the manufacturing process or during actual product operation. As this data is non-volatile it will be retained when power is removed.
The special features of these RF Transmitter MCU devices lie in their in their small package outlines, their comprehensive and complete functional capabilities and flexible multi-function I/O pins. With only a few external passive components required to implement a full RF transmitter application solution, these low cost, small package, high efficiency wireless MCU devices will find excellent use in a huge range of wireless applications. As one would expect, Holtek of course supplies a full suite of hardware and software development tools. Known as the HT-IDE3000, this development system includes real time emulation with its In-Circuit-Emulator, full trace analysis functions, breakpoint functions etc. In also providing customers with information such as layout guidelines and design references, users are assured of having their wireless designs up and running as quickly as possible. |
