Holtek HT71Axxxx New TinyPower^TM Low Dropout Voltage Regulator

After achieving extensive positive evaluation from its TinyPower^TM LDO series devices, with their widely praised low power and high voltage characteristics, Holtek is delighted to announce its new integrated voltage detect and TinyPower^TM LDO regulator series, the HT71Axxxx.

The HT71Axxxx device series uses CMOS technology and with their extremely low 6uA operating supply current, allows for considerable extension to battery life in portable products. With an input voltage of up to 12V, a superior solution now exists for multi-cell battery applications. The internal voltage detect function can easily monitor the system voltage and battery voltage conditions. At the present time the HT71Axxxx is available in 3.3V and 5.0V LDO output voltage types but with different voltage detection voltages. The max LDO output current is 30mA.

The devices are available in a heat dissipating panel 5-pin SOP89 type as well as a 3-pin SOT89 package type, both of which require the same PCB area. These devices, with the same device area as their predecessors, provide more functions for a wide range of power supply solutions.
